Atkins Library will have new carpet installed on the 1st floor from July 28 through August 12. The installation team will work primarily overnight and will block off work areas as needed to maintain safety during daytime hours. To allow for overnight and uninterrupted weekend work, the library will adjust its weekday closing time and be closed on the weekend of Aug. 2 to Aug. 3:
- July 28 to Aug. 1: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Aug. 2 to Aug. 3: Closed
- Aug. 4 to Aug. 6: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Aug. 7 to Aug. 8: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (to accommodate exam study)
- Aug. 9 to Aug. 10: 1 to 5 p.m.
- Aug. 11 to Aug. 12: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Access to Atkins and core library services should not be affected during daytime operating hours. We will be able to accommodate tours; however, some furnishings and fixtures will be temporarily out of place, and the smell of carpet glue may be present.
