As a Design Analyst at Gensler New York, Evan Danchenka focuses on strategy, big ideas, and strong graphic representation.
Evan graduated from the SoA with a B.A. in Arch. (’14) and B.Arch. (’15). Evan was a member of the inaugural class of UNC Charlotte's Levine Scholars Program. As a student, he participated in two summer study abroad programs: Rome and Scandinavia. He also served as a Research Assistant in the D-Arts Lab where he worked collaboratively on live projection and music performance works. He completed TransSound Plaza, a multi-media research study of sound, music, and video during a summer residence at the McColl Center for Art and Innovation. At the time of graduation, he received SoA’s Excellence in Architectural Representation award.
Formally with Design Collective in Baltimore, Evan is trained in architectural design, BIM management, multimedia production and consulting. While in Baltimore, he helped create an installation for the city's first ever Light City Festival in 2016. In both architecture and multimedia, Evan aims to design through a more intelligent, technology-aided process, to become a strategic design leader, and to inspire users and inhabitants.
