Bashi Hariharan Yasodha is the Open Access fellow at Atkins Library. She will be working to evaluate the current workflows for soliciting and ingesting postprints relating to UNCC’s open access policy and create outreach plans and materials to assist in promoting NinerCommons and open access initiatives on campus.
Bashi holds a BA in Anthropology and Asian Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill and is a current MSLIS student at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign focused on instruction and outreach in academic libraries, amongst other topics of interest. In the Fall, she plans to assist with research to help expand access to digital services to communities in rural Illinois. Building off of her previous experiences in both academic and public libraries, Bashi hopes to pursue a future career in an academic setting.
