Beginning this semester, you will be able to take advantage of multiple library services at the First Floor Desk. You can continue to check out and return materials including books, laptops, DVDs, and other equipment, and get information about the library and our resources, but you can now also get research help! Research librarians are excited to join this service point of the library to help with all stages of the research process and your research assignments. You can find them at the First Floor Desk from 11 am to 7 pm Monday through Thursday, and 11 am to 4 pm on Friday. We hope that combining these services at a central desk will make it easier for students, faculty, and staff to get the help they need, whether that is to check out a laptop charger, return a book from interlibrary loan, or get help finding sources for a research paper.
Here are two great services you can access or ask about at the desk:
- Equipment Checkout - From laptops and calculators to dry erase markers and chargers of all kinds, you can borrow tons of technology at no cost! Stop by the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor to find out more.
- Interlibrary Loan (ILL) - If the library doesn’t have a book or article you need, ILL can get it for you - for free!
