The Niner Nation Remembers Oral History Project seeks to document the thoughts and reactions of Niner Nation to the tragic events of April 30th and the campus and community response. By collecting first-hand accounts from students, faculty, staff, and community members affected by this tragedy we can ensure that these memories, and the vital historical context they provide, are preserved.

In addition to sharing your oral history, you can submit digital photos, videos, artwork, social media posts, emails, and other materials relating to the events of April 30, 2019 to University Archives using the Niner Nation Remembers website.
The University Archives serves as the collective memory of our campus history. Once archived, these remembrances will help tell the stories of those affected by this tragedy and will document not only the event, but the outpouring of support from our campus community and the city of Charlotte. We hope this collection will provide not just historical context for understanding this event, but will also be an opportunity to help the campus as it continues to grieve and heal. With the help of the UNC Charlotte community, the memory of our students who were injured or lost forever will be preserved in the history of our campus through the University Archives.
