I am excited to announce that the Atkins Fellows program will be returning in Summer 2022 with some new enhancements to better support the Fellows experience.
1. The program will move forward with four positions and an increase in the stipend amounts.
2. The start date of the program will be moved back by one week to accommodate applicants enrolled in graduate programs that end later.
3. The program has been reduced from 11 weeks to 10 weeks.
The program will remain open to current and recent graduates of Library, Archives, or Information Science degree programs. Applicants should keep in mind that accepting positions in the Fellows program will require moving to Charlotte, NC for the duration of the program. We cannot offer the program virtually.
You can learn more about the program on the Atkins Fellows page: https://library.charlotte.edu/about/jobs-and-internships/atkins-fellows
The positions will be posted in December 2021. I will offer updates through the Intranet announcements and via Twitter @atkinsfellow. Library faculty and staff can submit a project proposal for the program. Stay tuned for announcements in October about that process. In the meantime, feel free to contact me at abinder3@uncc.edu with any questions.
