Welcome to Atkins Library Assessment
The Assessment Team at J. Murrey Atkins Library coordinates a comprehensive assessment program that includes quantitative, qualitative, and usability practices to promote a data-informed approach to achieving the library's strategic goals. The work of the Assessment Team enables the J. Murrey Atkins Library to document impact on our patrons as well as make evidence-based decisions to continuously improve programs, services, and spaces.
Library statistics are collected on myriad activities and services that occur in the library including library foot traffic, circulation, interlibrary loan, research and instruction services, and much more. Visualizations of the data which were created using Tableau are available via the tabs in the left-hand menu of this site.
If a patron has questions about why we collect student-identifying information for some metrics, feel free to refer to the Atkins Card Swiping / Tapping / Texting Standard Language for Responding to Inquiries.
