What is it?

The Visualization Lab is designed to support:

  • large-scale visualization;
  • collaborative, technology-rich projects;
  • cross-disciplinary work;
  • digital scholarship activities;
  • data analysis and visualization;
  • GIS;
  • virtual reality

What’s in the space?

  • 86.5"x284" widescreen display;
  • two Panasonic projectors;
  • Dell PC;
  • Alienware PC with monitor and LCD display;
  • HTC Vive virtual reality system;
  • HDMI laptop projection capability;
  • Epson short-throw projector with touch board/laptop combo;
  • whiteboard wall

How can I use the Visualization Lab?

You’ll need to have an orientation before using the space.

Basic Orientation

What it covers
  • Room policies
  • Scheduling 
  • Basic room functions, which include:
    • Widescreen display
    • Dell PC
    • HDMI laptop projection
    • Touch board/laptop combo
How to get it

Email atkinsarea49@charlotte.edu to request a basic training or come to the first 20 minutes of a Full Orientation.

Full Orientation

What it covers

Everything in the Basic Orientation, plus operation of the HTC Vive virtual reality headset.

How to get it

Register for a training on the Technology Instruction page or email atkinsarea49@charlotte.edu to request a training outside of the provided times.
