At Atkins Library, we have a variety of vending options to meet your needs, whether you're looking for a snack or beverage, a frozen meal, or even school/office supplies! We are also pleased to have a full service coffee shop, Library Café, on the ground floor of the library.
You may bring and consume food and drink (nonalcoholic) throughout the library with the exception of the following:
- No food or drink in the Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room on the 10th Floor
- Only closed water bottles in the Area 49 Makerspace on the 2nd floor

Library Café
Located on the ground floor of Atkins Library, the Library Café is a full service coffee shop that proudly serves Peet's Coffee and Teas. Enjoy your favorite coffee shop drinks along with fresh bakery goods, sandwiches, smoothies, soups-of-the-day, and a large selection of bottled specialty juices and energy and soft drinks.
Main Floor

- Office Supplies Vending Machine: The office supply vending machine is located on the first floor of the library, near the drink vending machine and the restrooms. The machine offers a wide variety of items to assist students in their research and study, including index cards, pens, tape, highlighters, earbuds, flash drives, exam books, scantron sheets, and more. The vending machine accepts cash and 49er account cards.
