Exam-time activities planned for students

De-Stress for Success

Atkins Library has planned a number of events to help students de-stress, take a break, and relax during exams.

Relaxation and Meditation with CAPS

Meditation for Stress Relief

Are you feeling stressed with finals right around the corner? Join Megan McComas, CAPS Doctoral Intern, at the Visualization Lab on the library's 2nd floor to learn and practice some relaxation and meditation techniques. Meditative practices can aid in bringing calmness, clarity, and presence to a situation. In times of stress, these practices can reduce anxiety, promote kindness within oneself, and generate self-awareness.  The session will held in Atkins' Visualization Lab on the 2nd floor. Those who wish to attend virtually can participate using this Zoom link: https://uncc.zoom.us/s/99922200838

Daily Meditation

Join Megan McComas, CAPS Doctoral Intern, for a relaxing 15-minute meditation! Just sit back, join the session, and listen as Megan guides you through a restoring meditation. These daily meditations are intended to provide you with relaxation and clarity during finals week. Those who wish to practice this meditation on campus may use Atkins Library’s Visualization Lab on the 2nd floor. This is also a hybrid event and you can join virtual via this Zoom Link: https://uncc.zoom.us/s/99922200838

No appointment is necessary and the wait time is usually brief. This is not therapy and it is not designed for students needing urgent help. Sessions will be held in Atkins room 139B.
